Dreams Really Do Work, Through Teamwork

 It Couldn’t Be Done - “…He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn’t be done and he did it…”

Teamwork - “… For the battle is lost or the battle is won by the spirit of the team…”

I consider myself privileged to have been able to share this fantastic journey with this team, and especially Chaeli, who – through her eternally optimistic outlook on life - I have learnt a lot from.

I remember seeing one guy turn around and watch Chaeli head up towards Uhuru Peak. As he turned around he said to his climbing companion, “That is freaking awesome!” I smiled to myself and thought that if more people had attitudes like that, perhaps the vision of an entirely inclusive society isn’t so far off. The Chaeli Campaign’s Inclusive Education Programme and Chaeli Cottage Inclusive Pre-school and Enrichment Centre endeavour to see this vision become a reality.

The Chaeli Campaign’s community workers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, teachers and teachers’ assistants work tirelessly to facilitate and grow an inclusive society by reaching, teaching and caring for more and more children, and every penny donated goes towards opening up a world of opportunity for a child who is at their earliest and most crucial stage of development. As a result, hopefully differently-abled kids will not only dream big, but also fulfil those dreams no matter the obstacles.
